HTC One VS Samsung Galaxy S4: Which is Better?

Samsung Galaxy S4 vs HTC One

Samsung Galaxy S4 was released on 14th March at an event in New York and is expected to enter UK markets by 26th April. This device is already going head to head with Apple’s iPhone 5 and is attempting to stand as the number one android device challenged by HTC One. The Taiwanese company released its flagship device HTC One around 4 weeks before the launch of Samsung Galaxy S4.

HTC One has metal body finish accompanied by a slight curve. The company claims that this phone has zero gap construction weighing about 143 g. At this weight it becomes heavier than Galaxy S4 that weighs around 130 g as is made up of using plastic material.

Also, S4 is pretty slim at 7.9 mm thickness while HTC One stands at 9.3 mm but if we take a look on the overall build then HTC One has superior edge over it. HTC One while is radically different than its predecessor HTC One X, Samsung has provided S4 almost similar look as in Galaxy S3 smarphone.

Galaxy S4 has a 5 inches Super AMOLED screen which gives a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels and pixel density of 441 ppi. On the other hand, HTC One has 4.7 inches screen which is also Full HD display with a pixel density 468 ppi. In terms of camera, both these companies have tried to provide attractive user interface to the users.

HTC One has 4 MP camera but the company is calling it an ultra pixel camera which can give better quality in low light conditions. Samsung Galaxy S4 has 13 MP camera with dual camera function that can record videos and take pictures using both rear and front camera’s simultaneously. HTC One now got an update of Jelly Bean 4.2 while Samsung Galaxy S4 is initially released with android 4.2 version thus holding an edge in operating system also.

Galaxy S4 comes with 1.6 GHz Octa core processor while HTC One is powered with 1.7 GHz quad core Snapdragon processor. Thus, in processing power Samsung’s flagship holds edge over HTC One. Taiwanese company has provided 2300 mAh battery in its flagship device while the S4 has a much bigger battery i.e. Li-Ion 26oo mAh. As, S4 has a heavier processor thus it automatically results in a bigger battery back up.

Galaxy S4 has been introduced with many new features which already stand above many manufacturers in the market. Some of these features include dual camera, Smart scroll, Smart pause, eraser, drama shot, sound shot, Samsung Knox, AirView etc.
